After the fall of the Berlin wall Kappus Seifen GmbH & Co in Sachsen was founded 1990 by the M. Kappus corporation on the industrial premises of the former consumer soap plant in Riesa.

The former soap plant until 1990 the major soap factory of the GDR, provided Eastern Germany and the Comecon with large quantities of soaps and cosmetics.

Today Kappus/Riesa is - as a part of the Kappus Group - the specialist for the fabrication of mass products. Here we also bottle all our liquid products, such as lotions, shower gels, liquid soaps etc.

In 1998 Kappus/Riesa was granted a patent for a floating soap.
Riesa has an ISO 9001 certification.
